Fees for 2020/21 Season

5 Oct 2020 by David Bentley

The Committee of the Kenwick Cricket Club has settled on the fees for the 2020/2021 cricket season.

The following fee structure will occur:

OPTION 1
$450 upfront – full season plus ticket to the end of season wind up.

OPTION 2 – $300 upfront and $10 per week/match

OPTION 3 – $50 upfront and $25 per week/match

The upfront portion of your fees (whichever option you choose) will need to be paid by the time you start your first game. You will not be selected until you pay your upfront fee. This is to ensure we are able to pay upfront costs associated with the start of season.

Paying the upfront membership fee also allows access to Club Facilities, voting rights at General and Annual General Meetings and allows you to be available for selection (see below relating to overdue fees).

The Club is taking a strong stance on non-payment of fees, unless some sort of arrangement has been previously made. If your fees are overdue by one week, you will receive a warning. If you fees are overdue by more than one week, you will not be available for selection until all outstanding fees are paid. Fees will be tracked over the course of the year and captains will be asking around at every game to ensure fees are paid.

Fees are required to be paid direct to the Club’s Bendigo Bank account on game day. To ensure COVID-19 safety, the Club is looking to take cash payments as a last resort. EFT payments are also easier to track to ensure fees are getting paid. If you are unable to transfer money via EFT, please speak to the Club Treasurer or President to ensure you don’t miss out.

The Committee makes every effort to keep fees as low as possible. However, there are many costs associated with putting teams on the park each week, including balls, ground costs with the Council, SMCA fees and insurance just to name a few. While we have kept fees the same this year, should you be concerned about the fees, or wish to obtain a better understanding of how these funds are spent, please contact one of the Committee members, who will be able to supply you with some further information.

Further information will be provided to members on fixtures once they are confirmed by the SMCA. At this stage, the start of season is tentatively in for 17 October 2020 for the Two Day grades, and 31 October 2020 for the One Day Grades. 24 October 2020 (AFL Grand Final) will be a bye round for everyone.

There is still some debate in the SMCA around whether there will be one day games or a T20 competition, but it is clear that there will be no One Day final for the Two Day sides. As above, further information will be shared when we know more. This will also include return to play guidelines to ensure our cricket matches are able to be played in a COVID safe way.

Stay tuned!
